Peaceful pets are happy pets. But they need peaceful humans to get there!
We all want to be peaceful. Easy. Calm. And we want our pets to be peaceful, and to have peaceful lives.
Peaceful pets are most often not only made by their humans, by love, care, attention, and a peaceful home/environment, etc, but once you do have peaceful pets, then this needs ongoing care and maintenance.
Peaceful.
Full of peace.
Peace means lack of conflict.
Peace means harmony.
Peace means quiet, calm, regulated nervous systems.
Peaceful pets don’t happen by accident.
If you want peaceful pets, you need to understand that how you are, how peaceful you and your life are, directly correlate to how peaceful your pets are.
You are your pet’s PEACE MASTER.
So then, your first step towards peaceful pets is to look at yourself, your self-care, your home, and your life. If it’s chaotic, you’ll need to set to work to get calmer, better regulated, and more harmonious.
Your pets will naturally follow your lead to a large extent.
So – the more you work on self-care, home care, life care, joy, relaxation, and fun, the more peaceful your pets will become. Simple, not always easy. But SO WORTH WHILE.
Your pets are at your mercy. They live in the bubble of who you are.
Practical tips for generating peaceful pets
- Lots of slow-moving, relaxing touch. The more the better, the longer the better
- Calm play
- Avoid loud, intense music, and play relaxing tunes
- Make your house beautiful and tidy
- Give yourself time and space for meditation and total relaxation
- Make sure you get good sleep
- Avoid social media and the news as much as possible
- Hang out with peaceful, harmonious people
- Make sure you get plenty of true downtime, doing NOTHING at all
- Hang out with your pets, with no distractions
- Get out into nature as much as possible
- Do creative, fun things often
- Remember to smile.
There are HEAPS of other things you can do to have and keep peaceful pets. Anything and everything you do makes a difference. It might take time before you see the difference. But start now, do everything you can, and keep on doing it. Your pets NEED you to be their peace anchor as the world keeps on getting more uncertain, chaotic, and violent. If you get lost, dysregulated, anxious, and stressed, your pets will follow your lead.
Good luck in making and keeping peaceful pets!
