Dynamic Hope is the antidote to stress, anxiety, and awful things…
I’ve been just a tad up and down these past few weeks. I’m finding that avoiding all news and social media until lunchtime is helping somewhat. I’ve been working hard at keeping on a level keel, and getting myself into the best place possible. Inspired, relaxed, and joyful. I’ve been thinking about hope a lot, and in particular, about dynamic hope.
I used to have a lot of passive hope in my life. Yes, I’d think about how I wanted things to be better, but that was all that I did. Nothing much changed, funnily enough. This is where dynamic hope was born for me, and where I made it an ongoing part of my life. It’s pretty simple to put into practice (I’ll share some practical tips a little further down this page) – but it does take effort.
But the key thing is to spend quality time thinking about and feeling into what life could be like, if all goes well, if humanity forges a path that escapes all-out war and destruction. What could it feel like to live on a peaceful planet, where all beings, all living things, and the earth herself were treated with love, care, and respect.
What could life feel like if we had intelligent, compassionate, mature leadership?
What could life feel like if you and your pets were happy, well, coherent, balanced, and experiencing deep love and connection?
What could life feel like if you were continually acting to create all of this in one way or another, every day???
That last question is the true key to creating and maintaining dynamic hope in your life, and for your beloved pets, too. Because action is where the rubber of your life meets the road. It took me many, many years to learn this. I had a whole lot of passive hope without any real, effective action. And I struggled.
What do you hope for for you, and for your pets?
What do you hope for your family, your community, and your country?
What do you hope for this world we share?
There is so much beautiful potential when we act. Through acting, we bring our hopes to life. This is most powerful in our inner circles of influence. This is where our actions can be most effective. But our actions affect the whole, always. never forget this!
Practical tips for creating dynamic hope in your life, ongoing.
The first thing I suggest is to start small. make it practically impossible to fail. Want to feel fitter and stronger? Maybe start with a 10-minute walk three times a week. Then make it a real priority. Make it happen. You will never enjoy the benefits of all of these actions until some time down the track.
The second thing to do is to make dynamic hope an ongoing part of your life! This looks like always thinking of the next thing to act on. Never get complacent or sink too deep into your comfort zone. Always maintain all of the practices that build on bringing your hopes to life, into reality. It’s a muscle, and you need to make it stronger all the time, or it starts withering away very quickly.
Dynamic hope has transformed my life in so many beautiful ways – all of which my pets benefit from. There is no better time to get started with this than today, right now.
